AFP - ousted President Egyptian Hosni Mubarak and his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, are in Court August 3 on charges of having ordered the murder of protesters and fraud, a judicial source told AFP Wednesday.
The trio is judged by the Criminal Court of Cairo North and the hearing will be chaired by Judge Ahmed Rifat, said the source.
Businessman Hussein Salem, a close collaborator of the Mubaraks, is to be tried on the same date on the same charges, said the source.
Mubarak is in custody at the Hospital since 13 April after having suffered a heart attack during questioning about the murder of anti-government demonstrators and fraud.
The spectacular collapse of one of the most powerful leaders of the region after 18 days of anti-Government protests across the country was followed by repeated calls for his trial.
The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, who took power when Mubarak was ousted on February 11, has promised to bring to justice all those recognized guilty of abuse, but has been criticized for his handling of the transition phase.
Last week have been targeted in a criminal court on charges of ordering the killings of anti-government demonstrators and graft Mubarak and his two sons.
Charges of murder can lead to a death sentence if Mubarak is convicted, the Minister of justice said this month.
