Finalists of the Miss Singapore Pageant pose for photographs in swimwear by a pool in Singapore on August 6, 2010. The grand finals will be on August 21 from which the top 10 selected will be tested on their passion for the Earth.
The grand finals will take place at the Hotel Intercontinental Singapore at 7:00 pm. 23 contestants will compete for the Miss Singapore 2010 title. The winner will represent Singapore in the Miss World 2010 contest in China.
Miss World this year occurs in Sanya, China's Hainan province. The final is set to take place on October 30.
Contestants from more than 120 countries will be competing in the Miss World's 60th final. The four-week competition marks Miss World's diamond year and will be televised in the tropical heaven Sanya.
Launched in 1951, Miss World has become the world’s most watched annual event, with a worldwide viewing audience of over one billion.
2010 will be the fifth year that China has held the final. China successfully hosted the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 Miss World events.
Miss World Kaiane Aldorino will crown her successor on Saturday October 30 at the beauty Crown Theatre. By Manager Online
